2008 Syrah Continuing on in the tradition set forth by its predecessors, this Syrah explodes with subtle flavors which evolved over its 16 months in French oak. There are new vineyards on the Vanumanutagi estate which came into production in 2007 allowing us to increase the production of this popular wine without sacrificing any quality. This wine will continue to improve over the next 5 to 8 years.

2007 Oetinger Reserve Zinfandel Dedicated to our daughter born in 2007, this blend of our two Zinfandel sources is a rare occurence. Only on specific vintages where the flavor profiles and palate nuances align themselves will we make this reserve wine. Marrying the fruit forward jamminess of the El Dorado fruit with the spice- rack flavor profile of the Santa Cruz Mountains fruit we achieve a sophisticated, well-balanced wine. It will be at its best over the next 4 to 8 years.

2007 Mirepoix The Fernwood Estate Mirepoix (pronounced mir-pwa) is dedicated to
our daughter, who was born in 2007, and is a result of the
inspirational wines on La Garonne river in France. Just like the classic
cooking combination, this wine is the basis for wonderful evenings.
An approachable wine of great depth, it elegantly illustrates that the
structure of classic wines from this region can marry well with the
soft fruit styling of Merlot to give an ultimate expression whose whole
is far greater than the sum of its parts!

2007 Central Coast Petite Sirah Dedicated to our daughter born in 2007, this wine is
made from a beautiful vineyard nestled in a valley in the coastal
range. Every vine is head-trained; there are no wires in the
vineyard. This translates too vines only producing as much fruit
as they can physically hold, giving intense varietal character to the
wine. Petite Sirah is a misnomer; this wine is huge and goes great
with tomato sauces and other intensely flavored foods. It will
continue to improve and evolve over the next 8 to 10 years.
